Microsoft 365 and Azure support

Licensing, tenant hardening and day-to-day administration, so Teams, SharePoint and Entra work the way your business operates.

Getting more from what you already pay for

Almost every business we look at is already paying Microsoft. Fewer are using what they're paying for, and a surprising number are paying for licences nobody has used in months: leavers never removed, duplicate subscriptions, or everyone sat on an expensive plan when half the staff need a fraction of it.

A licence review is usually the first thing we do, because it frequently pays for a chunk of the support contract on its own. From there it's about making the platform fit how you work rather than reshaping how you work to fit the defaults.

What we do

  • Migration: from on-premises Exchange, Google Workspace or another provider, with mail, files and calendars moved without a gap
  • Tenant consolidation: if a merger or acquisition left you with two, we merge them
  • Licence review: right-sizing plans and removing waste
  • Security hardening: conditional access, MFA, and turning off the legacy protocols attackers rely on
  • SharePoint and Teams structure: designed around your actual departments rather than sprawling by accident
  • Entra ID: identity, groups and access managed properly, so onboarding and offboarding is one process
  • Azure: virtual machines, backup and hosting, with cost monitoring so the bill doesn't drift

Migrations without the horror stories

Everyone has heard about the migration where email went down for two days. It happens when the cutover is treated as an event rather than a process. We stage migrations: mailboxes sync in the background, files are copied and verified, and the switch happens out of hours once we can prove the data has arrived. Users get a short note explaining what changes for them, which is usually very little.

A note on data residency. Microsoft 365 does not back itself up in the way most people assume. Retention policies and the recycle bin are not a backup. If data is deleted or encrypted by ransomware, you need a separate, independent copy. That's covered by our backup and disaster recovery service.

Ongoing administration

Once the platform is in shape, the work becomes routine: adding and removing users, adjusting permissions, managing shared mailboxes and distribution lists, keeping conditional access policies current as Microsoft changes the underlying features. That's included in a managed agreement rather than billed each time you hire someone.

Common questions

Will we lose email during a migration?

No. Mail is synchronised in advance and the final cutover happens outside working hours. Staff typically arrive to find everything where they left it, with a note explaining the one or two things that look different.

Can you move us from Google Workspace?

Yes: mail, calendars, contacts and Drive files. The trickiest part is usually shared drives and permissions, which we map deliberately rather than dumping everything into one place.

How much can a licence review save?

It varies with how long the tenant has been running unmanaged. Removing leavers and right-sizing plans often produces a meaningful monthly saving; we'll tell you what we find before you commit to anything.

Do we still need backup if we're on Microsoft 365?

Yes. Microsoft protects the platform's availability; your data is your responsibility. Retention policies are not the same thing as a restorable, independent backup.

Not sure which of these you need?

Most businesses start with a free review: two engineers document every device, licence and line, and you get the asset register and risk list whether or not you go ahead.
